Missions

Missionaries for September - Ben and Maggie Chan, Missions Door. Ben and Maggie serve the Lord among the Chinese in Southern California and China. After successfully planting two Chinese churches, Ben was appointed to be Missions Door's Chinese Ministry Specialist. Through their ministry, over 2000 people have heard the Gospel, and over 100 people have believed in God and gotten baptized in Southern California. During this time they have taken mission trips to China to minister through preaching, visitation, discipleship, social concerns and training. The training is provided to church leaders, pastors and lay leaders. To be more effective in the ministry, Ben and Maggie are working hard to build a Chinese ministry team, by both planting churches in the United States and wide-range ministry in China.

Adult Ministries

CBC Men’s and Women’s Ministries are both loosely knit, informally run entities.

Men most often meet informally for work projects or outings.
There is attendance at the annual Men’s Retreat at Pine Summit (CBASC camp in Big Bear area) or locally.
Often the men fellowship best during Deacon sponsored work activities. There are always donuts or sometimes a real breakfast to enjoy before the work begins.
Men’s study groups are in the formation stages.

The women’s activity highlight is an annual Tea or Luncheon with guest speaker, extraordinary gastronomical delicacies and décor.
A sizable group of women attend the annual Pine Summit retreat for women.
There are a number of women’s events centered around Deaconess activities; fellowship in a working side-by-side atmosphere.
Women gather to study or pray together weekly throughout the year.

Included in adult ministries is Young At Heart for senior adults (see the Young At Heart Page).

All adult fellowship groups are intended to grow friendships and connections in a casual setting enabling a sense of true community or church family feeling to develop.
