Pastor of Student Ministries
Steve Stutler
joined the CBC family on November 1, 2007. Youth Pastor Steve comes to Bishop with a variety of ministry experiences beginning at Youth With A Mission training center at Cardinal Village. YWAM experiences included missionary activities in Croatia/Bosnia, team leadership,
and discipleship. Steve graduated from Vanguard
University with a Batchelor of Arts in Business and from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Masters in Christian Education. During college and graduate school Steve served as High School Counselor/Worship Music Leader, and Young Adult Leader in San Clemente, CA and Pastoral Intern to Young Adults in Plano, TX. In the midst of these activities Steve spent time working with the JESUS Film Project where he met Shannon who would later become his wife.
He has also had a number of secular work experiences, most recently as a Plumbing Apprentice for the past year. The preeminent Lordship of Christ tops Steve’s list of personal core values and his intent is to cultivate a thriving and increasingly intimate relationship with God. He desires to love the ecumenical body of Christ with his whole heart and to encourage other Christians to do the same. His belief is that true ministry is the abundant overflow of a passionate relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, and his goal is to encourage others to become humble, devoted followers of Christ. His gifts fall under an administrative/teaching cluster, which will be an advantage in the role of pastor to young people and their families at CBC.
