Hello Family and Friends of CBC! The first thing we want to say is thank you.  These are contentious times. There are opposing opinions on every issue, and many people are frustrated or angry.  But through it all we have felt your prayers, your support, and your encouragement.  As the apostle Paul wrote in Col 1:3 We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you.  That is our prayer. Our Sunday morning service has been going well.  We have been able to seat those who come with social distancing. We certainly hope to continue this and to be able increase the number of those able to physically join us.  We will continue to live stream our service on YouTube and Facebook. Thank you for being flexible and gracious through all of this! Remember, the Thrive Summit starts Monday!  We sincerely hope you will join in for some or all of it.  It’s online and free.  Get more information and register at thriveconference.org. The schedule has changed a little. Now it’s Monday - WednesdayMonday morning will be a powerful time to hear about how the Church can be the force of influence we should be for truth, healing, and reconciliation in our world.  Monday evening you can choose your own breakout session. Tuesday & Wednesday will be full of teaching, stretching, challenging, and encouragement from God’s Word.  If you miss something you will be able to watch it after the fact for at least the following week. So please - register.  Watch what you can.  We’re working on streaming it at the church so we can watch some together, and on having a “watch party” so we can watch individually but can comment together during the stream.  We will have more information soon.  But let’s be stretched, challenged, & encouraged together! Don’t forget to sign up for your Father’s Day lunch (by Tuesday June 16) if you are able to join that after worship Sunday, June 21.  This can be take out or eat together outside, but we want to honor our fathers and father figures!  It is so good to serve you and with you.  Again, God is working, and we are thankful for you!
